Our client is a fast-growing, agile international consulting firm headquartered in the United Kingdom. They've been focusing on optimizing processes centricity and technology. One of the many areas they are focusing on is to design and implement next generation activities- reformulating operating models, optimising processes and installing automation.
Play a key role in managing the financial consolidation process across our diverse construction operations. This is your chance to showcase your expertise in German Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (HGB), German tax regulations, IFRS, and construction-specific accounting standards like percentage of completion, WIP reporting, and job costing.
Your tasks will include:
- Spearheaded the financial consolidation of multiple entities in the construction sector, ensuring full compliance with HGB, IFRS, and German tax regulations.
- Prepared and delivered accurate, efficient, and compliant consolidated financial statements to support strategic decision-making.
- Streamlined intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and variance analysis to drive financial clarity and precision.
- Leveraged advanced financial software and ERP systems like DATEV, Maconomy, Unit4, Tagetik, and others to optimize consolidation and reporting workflows.
- Partnered closely with internal finance teams and auditors to ensure seamless and transparent financial reporting processes.
- Identified opportunities to enhance financial consolidation, providing actionable insights and recommendations for continuous process improvement.
To be a good fit for the Consolidation Accountant role, you will have:
- Over 5 years of expertise in financial consolidation, with a strong focus on the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of HGB, German tax regulations, IFRS, and specialized construction accounting principles.
- Proven hands-on experience with top financial ERP systems such as DATEV, Maconomy, Unit4, Tagetik, and others.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and skilled in using financial reporting tools
- Skilled at analyzing complex financial data and turning it into actionable, strategic insights.
- Fluent in German (C1/C2) and English (B2/C1)
