Relability Engineer (Platform)- Hybrid in Warsaw

As a Relability Engineer (Platform) you will use automation and other technologies to intelligently cope with challenging failures while collaborating with various engineering organizations to resolve failure risks at the source. The SRE team approaches Operations as a software problem and aims to apply software engineering approaches to those problems.  

Your tasks will include:

• Engineering and maintaining highly available, secure, and cost-effective container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and ECS
• Engineering Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) solutions that simplify and improve software deployments to enable high velocity for the Product Engineering partners
• Developing robust monitoring and observability services and patterns to consistently improve the team’s ability to identify, react, respond, and recover from complex failures
• Collaborating with Technology Engineering, Development, and Product Management to help develop, scale, and improve production systems and services
• Partnering with service teams to provide appropriate documentation, cross-training, architecture planning, capacity management, and recommendations for future state
• Engineering technical solutions to prevent or reduce the frequency of failures
• Writing clean and correct code, writing test plans and identifying code quality improvements when reviewing code 

To be a good fit for the Relability Engineer (Platform) role you will have:

• 2+ years IT experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 1 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience 
• Experience in Python and/or Golang and/or Typescript with software Engineering mindset 
• Experience administering Kubernetes 
• Experience with AWS and Terraform 
• Experience with Docker containerization 
• Understanding of principles of CI/CD 
• Demonstrated understanding of networking systems, various identity and authorization systems 
• Problem solving and collaboration skills 
• Some knowledge of:  Istio, Bash, Linux, Helm   
  
  Nice to Have:
   
• Experience working with Agile development methodology and task execution 
• Experience in platform and service mesh technologies such as Docker, Envoy, Consul, ECS, Mesos/Marathon, etc…. 
• Experience with advanced monitoring solutions such as metrics platforms, logging, distributed tracing, and the like 
• Experience with Fluentd/Fluentbit 
• Experience with Rego, Gatekeeper
