Our client is a fast-growing, agile international consulting firm headquartered in the United Kingdom. They've been focusing on optimizing processes centricity and technology. One of the many areas they are focusing on is to design and implement next generation activities- reformulating operating models, optimising processes and installing automation.

As a Director of GBS Transformation, you will be responsible for leading high-impact client engagements and drive practice growth. Reporting to the Managing Director, this senior executive advisor will guide C-suite leaders on organizational design, evaluating GBS, Shared Services, and outsourcing strategies. You will leverage deep expertise in sourcing advisory, vendor governance, and risk-mitigated enterprise transformation to steer complex programs from strategic roadmap design through to full implementation and benefits realization.

Your tasks will include:

  • Lead the design, benchmarking, and implementation of global GBS, Shared Services, and Global Process Ownership (GPO) frameworks.
  • Conduct maturity reviews, financial baselining, and opportunity assessments to build high-yield business cases and transformation roadmaps.
  • Structure service management frameworks, accountability metrics, and continuous improvement models that optimize service quality.
  • Advise clients on captive, hybrid, and outsourced delivery models across corporate functions (Finance, HR, Procurement, IT).
  • Drive end-to-end RFP/RFI lifecycles, global location strategy assessments, commercial due diligence, and contract negotiations.
  • Design retained organization models and partner frameworks to maximize third-party value, contract renewals, and supplier transitions.
  • Lead multi-functional, international transformation programs and complex shared services migrations while mitigating delivery risks.
  • Establish Transformation Management Offices (TMOs) to monitor budgets, track timelines, and guarantee full benefits realization.
  • Orchestrate business process redesign and automation initiatives (ERP, workflow, digital platforms) to optimize efficiency and compliance.
  • Act as a trusted independent advisor, facilitating executive workshops, steering committees, and strategic decision-making sessions.
  • Spearhead consulting proposal development, RFP responses, and account growth strategies to expand practice market share.
  • Contribute to corporate thought leadership and mentor consultants to foster team capabilities and institutional knowledge.

To be a good fit for the Director of GBS Transformation, you will have:

  • Ability to travel ocasionally 
  • 15+ Years of experience across tier-one consulting, GBS, Shared Services, sourcing advisory, and enterprise-wide transformation environments.
  • Proven track record designing and deploying global GBS, captive, outsourced, and hybrid operating models across corporate functions (Finance, HR, IT, Procurement).
  • Demonstrated success leading multi-country, cross-functional transition and transformation programs from feasibility through to stabilization.
  • Expert in supplier selection, commercial contract negotiations, location strategy, and third-party vendor governance frameworks.
  • Accomplished in managing board-level stakeholders, facilitating executive alignment, and driving consulting business development and sales.
  • Supported by relevant professional qualifications (e.g., MBA, PMP/Prince2, Lean Six Sigma, or financial certifications).
