You will have the opportunity to join a forward-thinking energy company seeking skilled and dedicated Field Service Engineers to join their rapidly expanding team in Poland near Elk and Bialystok. You will have the opportunity to work at the forefront of energy storage technology. 

You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, warranty repairs, and commissioning activities on advanced battery energy storage systems (BESS) at various sites.

As a key member of the field service team, you will ensure the optimal performance and reliability of our clients energy storage units, contributing directly to a sustainable energy future.

Your tasks will include:

• Maintain Battery Energy Storage Systems to a high standard through regular inspections, preventative maintenance, annual capacity tests, and reactive maintenance.
• Perform system software and firmware upgrades to keep units operating with the latest enhancements.
• Monitor system performance, assess operational data, and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide remote diagnostics and phone support to customers, delivering timely and effective solutions.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment located at BESS sites.
• Manage and maintain an inventory of spare parts.
• Uphold the highest safety standards by adhering to all local regulations, conducting risk assessments, and implementing necessary safety measures.
• Complete administrative duties accurately and on time, including timesheets, daily vehicle checks, and detailed job logs.
• Collaborate with the in-house system engineering group on product development and project work.
• Offer valuable suggestions based on field experience to enhance product design and functionality.

To be a good fit for the Field Service Engineer role, you will have:

• A formal qualification in an electrical or electro-mechanical discipline.
• SEP Certification G1 E or G1 E+D
• Proven experience in electrical or multi-skilled maintenance roles.
• Proficiency with basic IT tools, including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel), and familiarity with IP and troubleshooting software.
• A valid qualification for working safely on-site. (e.g., site safety training or equivalent)
• A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various sites within the region. 

Preferred Experience (Not Essential)

• Prior hands-on experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
• Working knowledge of HV/LV power electronics, including inverters, converters, and transformers.
• Previous HVAC training and an F-Gas qualification.
• A strong understanding of IT subjects such as command line interfaces (CMD), remote desktop connections, networking (subnets, VLANs, static IP/DHCP), and MODBUS/TCP protocols.
• Authorization as a High Voltage (HV) competent person.
• Experience within a renewable energy sector (Solar, Wind, Hydro)
