Operations and Maintenance Manager

As the O&M Manager you will lead the operation and maintenance activities for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across multiple sites in Poland. This role is responsible for ensuring high system availability, optimizing performance, managing maintenance teams and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with proven leadership and organizational skills to deliver operational excellence.

Your tasks will include:

• Lead and manage all O&M activities for BESS assets, including preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance programs.
• Develop and implement site operation plans, maintenance schedules, and performance optimization strategies.
• Manage and coordinate local technicians and service partners to ensure high-quality execution of maintenance works.
• Oversee inspection, testing, and maintenance of BESS systems
• Ensure up-to-date records of system software and firmware versions
• Act as the primary point of contact regarding O&M activities.
• Manage spare parts inventory, procurement, and logistics.
• Coordinate with the engineering and product development teams to provide field feedback and contribute to system improvements.

To be a good fit for the Operations and Maintenance Manager role, you will have:

• Degree or qualification in Electrical, Electro-Mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
• Certified to work safely on electrical sites - SEP Certification G1 E+D 
• Proven experience in operations and maintenance management, preferably within renewable energy (solar, wind or Hydro) or power generation sectors 
• Strong leadership and organizational skills, with experience managing teams
• Knowledge of HV/LV electrical systems, power electronics (inverters, converters, transformers)
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and maintenance management tools.
• Very good command of the English language
• Willingness to travel to multiple sites and occasional international assignments.
   

Preferred Experience (Not Essential):

• Experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) operation and maintenance.
• A strong understanding of IT subjects such as command line interfaces (CMD), remote desktop connections, networking (subnets, VLANs, static IP/DHCP), and MODBUS/TCP protocols.
• HV authorized person certification.
• F-Gas certification and HVAC maintenance knowledge.
• Familiarity with firmware/software management for control systems (e.g., SCADA, EMS, BMS).
• Experience with data-driven maintenance, predictive analytics, and performance optimization.
