Are you experienced in creating AI NLP solutions?
Would you like to join an expanding team and influence change?
We are seeking a skilled AI Engineer with expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP) to lead the design, development, and deployment of NLP solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in AI/ML, hands-on expertise with NLP tools and frameworks, and the ability to apply these technologies to solve complex challenges, particularly in the public sector. This role will involve working on cutting-edge NLP projects, ensuring that solutions are technically sound and meet performance standards.
Your Tasks Will Include:
- Design and develop Natural Language Processing (NLP) systems to address specific challenges, particularly within government or public sector contexts.
- Implement NLP models and algorithms to process, analyze, and interpret large volumes of unstructured data (e.g., text, speech).
- Provide leadership and subject matter expertise in NLP technologies, methodologies, and best practices to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in NLP, including developments in neural networks, transformer models (e.g., BERT, GPT), and other cutting-edge techniques.
- Serve as a go-to resource for all matters related to NLP within the organization, driving innovation and technical excellence.
- Oversee the development, testing, and deployment of NLP models and ensure that they meet both functional and performance standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate NLP solutions into existing systems and workflows, ensuring seamless functionality.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and optimizations of deployed NLP solutions, ensuring they continue to meet evolving requirements.
- Utilize programming languages such as Python and R, as well as NLP-specific libraries and frameworks like NLTK, spaCy, and transformer models (e.g., BERT, GPT).
- Develop and fine-tune NLP models to optimize accuracy and performance, leveraging state-of-the-art algorithms and data science methodologies.
- Perform data preprocessing, feature extraction, and text analytics to prepare data for NLP model training and implementation.
- Work closely with government clients and internal teams to understand project requirements and ensure NLP solutions meet specific needs.
- Simplify complex NLP concepts and results for non-technical stakeholders, providing clear insights and recommendations based on data.
- Facilitate workshops, training, and presentations on the use and benefits of NLP technologies for client and internal education.
To be a good fit for the NLP Engineer role, you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. A Master’s degree in AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications or advanced courses in NLP or machine learning are highly desirable.
- 3-6 years of experience in AI, machine learning, data science, or software engineering, with a focus on NLP.
- Hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying NLP models and solutions.
- Proficiency in NLP frameworks and libraries such as NLTK, spaCy, BERT, GPT, and Transformers.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R, with a focus on NLP tools and libraries.
- Experience with machine learning and AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
- Familiarity with data science techniques including text preprocessing, tokenization, feature extraction, and sentiment analysis.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Keys to success:
- Experience working on NLP projects with government clients or large-scale organizations.
- Knowledge of speech recognition, chatbot development, or other advanced NLP applications.
- Familiarity with cloud-based NLP tools and platforms such as AWS Lex, Google Cloud NLP, or Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services.
Reasons To Join:
- Fully remote permanent contract
- Opportunity to work on Industry Leading AI projects
