Our client is a fast-growing, agile international consulting firm headquartered in the United Kingdom. They've been focusing on optimizing processes centricity and technology. One of the many areas they are focusing on is to design and implement next generation activities- reformulating operating models, optimizing processes and installing automation.
As a Transition Manager you will be developing transition plans in close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Overseeing comprehensive finance transition projects to ensure they are completed on time, remain within budget, and meet quality benchmarks.
- Creating and managing exhaustive project plans that include schedules, key milestones, and resource distribution.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, such as IT, finance, and operations, for flawless project delivery.
- Evaluating existing finance procedures to uncover potential improvements and automations.
- Establishing standardized finance workflows to boost operational efficiency and precision.
- Handling the migration of finance functions to shared services or external providers to guarantee minimal disruption to business activities.
- Keeping key stakeholders, including senior leaders, informed on project progress and managing their expectations.
- Leading change management efforts to facilitate smooth adoption of new financial processes and systems.
- Tackling and resolving any issues or obstacles that surface during the transition phase.
- Identifying and mitigating risks linked with finance transitions to ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Implementing strong internal controls to protect financial data and uphold financial reporting integrity.
- Assisting with internal and external audits by supplying necessary documentation and explanations related to transition activities.
To excel as a Transition Manager, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline. An MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is highly desirable.
- Over five years of proven experience in finance transition or transformation management, ideally within consultancy or professional services.
- Robust project management abilities, including hands-on experience with project management software and methodologies.
- A deep understanding of finance and accounting principles, processes, and systems.
- A proven track record of managing and leading complex projects with an emphasis on process optimization and change management.
- Superior communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent communication skills
